The Light House is a new, Non-Denominational, Bible-believing Church that focuses on prayer, worship, and reaching out the world around us with the Light of Jesus Christ, through evangelism. The Light House exists as a direct result of about 5 years of prayer and asking the Lord for open doors. He has been faithful to fulfill His plan through the Light House and lead Pastor Josh and Marleen Carroll and their modest team of leaders to launch publicly in April of 2007. The Light House is a daughter church of the Brooklyn Tabernacle, based out of New York City. Pastor Carroll was on staff at the Tabernacle for a number of years, heavily involved in teaching, leadership in various ministries, as well as a soloist with the, six-time, Grammy award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Pastor Carroll and his wife, Marleen, set out to Colorado, from New York, two years ago. They stepped out in blind faith simply knowing that God was calling them to start a church that prayed and reached out to the lost world around them through evangelism. They did not know when the Church would start, how, where, or any of the other details. They simply stepped out in obedience to what they felt God was calling them to do. Although not having any money at the time of the move, God supplied $22,000 as they purposed to step out in faith. God has continued to supply as they have cried out to Him for provision and leaned on Him.

The Light House exists to not only lead people “Home” to Jesus Christ through reaching out by one-on-one street evangelism and special events, but to be a “house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:7). Knowing that God’s people thrive and grow in their relationship with their Creator through intimate prayer and worship, and that God extends His invitation of eternal life to ALL people regardless of color, background, and culture. Our mission is to be a house of prayer that is open to ALL people, no matter where they are, have been, or the things they have done. Pastor Carroll himself has been rescued out of a life of alcohol abuse and knows first-hand that the power of God is able to change and keep any life that seeks to know God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ. He and his wife long to share and impart the power of Christ’s love to every heart that would receive Him.
